Single Use System for Bedridden Patient Hygiene

Over 40 years ago, Vernacare introduced the first system for collection and elimination of human waste (feces and urine) originating from bedridden patients, through the use of single use recipients in cellulose pulp (bedpans and urinals), which are processed in macerating machines after use and are then eliminated into the sewer. This system possesses obvious advantages over the traditional washing system, with a significant improvement of infection control and comfort standards of the patient. The time spent on these tasks is minor, so that the auxiliary staff can carry out other activities for the nurse and the patient.
